no seriously what the fuck i can't believe i just finished it.
i was what, 12 when this trilogy kicked off on the xbox console?
i was just a little kid when this game came out, i hated it at first and then evententually i fell in love with the series. it's become a cultural phenomenon - halo, master chief, cortana


4 or more years of playing co-op with whoever had a copy, freaking out when johnson supposedly died in the first game (but didn't), dicking around in maps like blood gulch for no other reason than to blow shit up, first encountering the flood, the humming of guilty spark, learning how to cope with the original xbox's dumbshit controller setup

kicking the prophet's asses


AND NOW ... it's over? i mean, i hear there's going to be other games situated in the same universe, but just under a different name. but still - halo. it's over. yeah, sure, there's multiplayer, but it's not the same as really getting into the plot, the story, the game. i'm going to miss the talks about what master chief was going to do in the next installment and how things would play out with the prophets ...


that's kind of why i hate stories, haha. i always want to see what happens but i hate it when there's an ending, a dead-end. i always love looking forward to new chapters, new installments, but things can only go on for so long

i'll probably snag myself a copy of the first halo and i'll probably be replaying this series over the rest of my life, lol. i do it with all my favourite games, books and stuff..



PS - the score to the halo series is extremely nice. i'm a sucker for orchestras.
